What makes a piece of furniture a design piece?
Design furniture stands out because of its shape. A tabletop with an organic outline, a base that is more of a sculpture than a leg, or a material you don't come across in every interior.
A piece like this needs space around it. If you put too much next to it, it loses its impact. One striking piece per room is usually enough.
Shapes that make the difference
In this collection you will see pebble-shaped and organic tabletops, where no edge is straight. The patterned tabletops also belong here, with herringbone, mosaic and Hungarian point in oak.
The underside makes just as much difference. A scissor base, a matrix leg or a moon shape determines how heavy or light your table looks.
Materials with character
In addition to oak, we work with ceramic, Fenix and marble-look. View the marble dining tables and the concrete dining tables if you are looking for something different from wood.
Each material reacts differently to light. A matte finish keeps the shape calm, while a glossy top brings movement into the room.
Combining with other interior styles
Design works well on a calm background. Place a striking table in an otherwise modern or Japandi room, and the shape gets the space it needs.
Design furniture at Kas20
Our furniture comes from our own production, so a special shape does not have to mean a special price. You combine the top, size and base separately.
An organic shape is best judged in person. In our home stores you can see how such a top behaves in a space.
